Yeah reddit is a fickle place. It doesn't even sound like you were spamming channel though so their reaction does seem very weird. :unsure:
 
Honestly, places like Reddit can be so hit or miss sometimes. I feel like the people there are either really nice or really s****y, and the hivemind-thinking can become annoying. Personally I think the snack-stadium looks amazing, and as a far as the YT thumbs down go, Youtube considers them a form of engagement so they actually ended up helping out your channel.
