Si!just post random stuff on there. I guess it would make much more sense to link my videos through little mini short videos
I'm planning to do this, but instagram makes it hard because I have all my videos on my laptop. And I can't upload that way. It is also annoying that you can't put a link to your video on each post and can only point users to view your profile. Any advice? Or do I have to copy the vid clips to my phone and upload that way?
This is what I do
I do magic, and I use my Instagram account to post, short 5-35sec magic clips along with photos of my career, life and other fun stuff(most often magic related). Instagram is cool too because it has that hashtag system that makes you reach millions of people with the same interest as you, AWESOME i know.
Now how does this relate to youtube? Well in my case I have my Youtube link on my Instagram page, so If people like me on insta and digg what I do, they might hop over to my YT channel and check it out, and hopefully love it.)
My YT is also different, there I make little bit longer videos, reaction stuff and talk more. So its not the same.
Does this make any sense to you?![]()
Those are great ideas. Thanks.I thought about this question too and I have some ideas that I would implement on my instagram account. Just remember that IG is an extension to your promo. Not just upload videos to your feed because that will defeat the purpose of bringing traffic to your YT channel. Instead, you can post animations, pictures, promo flyers or behind-the-scene images.
Here are some suggestions I have used in the past:
-Add a link to your channel or latest video to your bio.
-Make teaser video clips of your video (5, 10 or 15 secs).
-Make and post 1 minute videos once in a while.
-Take pictures of behind scenes as post them in your feed.
-Post at least once a day on instagram
-Use the following apps to share and upload videos/images:
Download, Phonto, Flipagram, PicPlayPost,Repost
-Screenshot your channel and post it on your feed.
-Use relevant hashtags.
-Use geotags as much as possible, so local people can find you.
-If you produce videos about businesses, sporting events or product reviews, don't forget to tag the organizations/businesses. They all love the promo from customers.
Hope this helps.
Good luck,
Will
