Did YouTube change anything?

Hi everyone.

Quick question. For a few weeks now I've been noticing that the quality of the videos I am watching went down a bit. I know that some content creators use high-end DSLR's, they are experienced in video making and know how to export stuff for YouTube. But for a while now most of their footage looks a bit grainy and not as slick as before. Any ideas if YouTube did anything to their player?

It could be your internet connection. Often, when service is slow, you'll get a lower-quality stream of a video. I've been disappointed in my video quality sometimes, but then when I watch at a less-than-peak time, it looks much better.

Maybe that's it. I noticed that my ping is sometimes jumping around like crazy. Should maybe check it out again -.- Thx for the tip.
