So is there a difference? I got a copyright notice does that mean i have a strike if i delete the video??

They give you a chance or somthing but you'll have some strike against you for a few weeks or months

No a copyright notice is a warning which you can appeal or give up the right to appeal. If the person or company who made the claim successfully wants to, they can have your video removed and give you a strike if it comes to that. If you want to avoid all of that, you can delete the video to avoid the risk.

Copyright Notices are warnings and Copyright Strikes are more severe.

Notices are issued automatically 99% of the time by Content ID while DMCA claims (these are how strikes are given) are always manual.

A third party match won't forcibly remove your video nor give you a strike.
