Everyone can get accepted to use adsense unless they have a strike on their channel or have had their adsense disabled in the past.

My videos are monetized but my adsense account hasnt been approved yet so I'm not making any money off them.

You should be approved by AdSense with no problems, provided you haven't had any issues in the past.
