YouTube's License Deals are expiring.

I'm sure Google understand the importance of these relationships, these labels bring billions of views to the site. They'll bend over backwards for these guys.

The problem is that so much ad space is being used now, since anyone can monetize their videos, and Google sells ads too cheaply.

Vevo have custom ad deals with Google and other advertisers, and charge a premium to advertise with them, so artists see more reasonable streaming rates when they use Vevo. Perhaps the labels will create something similar.

I really don't know if this will impact us majorly in the long run. I certainly hope not!

If YouTube license agreements expire, then all of those people who use music on YouTube under those license agreements (either by the "free" music YouTube provides, the cover music options or via ContentID basic permissions) will be subject to potential DMCA takedown notices and copyright strikes.

Relying on a non-perpetual license is dangerous.

Oh wow, that's kinda poor planning on Youtube's part. Hopefully they planned ahead for this kind of stuff then.
