YouTube TOS Question

Patrick Harris

You see what I did there?
Lets say I upload a video that I KNOW FOR A FACT is against terms of service, will I get in trouble if that video is marked private and never sees the light of day? Someone has to report it first, correct?

Don't quote me on it, but I believe you are correct. I think it has to be reported first. However, if it has copywritten stuff, the autobots that work for youtube could possibly track it and shut it down eventually.

My best advice (especially if you're a partner) is don't risk it. I agree with Ray, if you must put something questionable on YouTube, even if it is private, I'd do it on a throw-away channel.

Why upload it to youtube if it is never going public? Maybe you could just upload it to your email server if you want to keep a digital copy so it never gets lost.
