Windows 8 Compatible Microphones?

I've Got It
Hey, so I have a real (excuse my french) s****y a** microphone, and I was looking for some good quality microphones, but apparently none of them seem to be able to work on Windows 8 or other new OS's. (Like the Blue microphones, or the audio-technica)

Can anyone help me out? Any good (condenser) microphones out there that work with new systems?
Or anyone that has Windows 8 using any good mics for gameplays and stuff?

My h4n zoom works fine with windows 8, but i don't know if its good for what you are doing ? plus its around £250 and im not sure of your price range

Oh. Wait can the Zoom products be used as like usb microphones? Yeah sorry I think i shouldve worded better, I was thinking of like condenser microphones

Yeah they can, well i know the h4n can because i have it, if you already have one just look it up on youtube and see if it will work

and i guessed it wouldn't have been the best choice for you, im not really sure about other mics just because i dont use or need them

French. Hmm. I recall that I never heard this word in my vocabulary. Where does it comes from ? Does it have a latin root ?
