Why do You Make Screencasts in Low Quality?

Hi!
I have a questions to screencasters. I make screencasts by using Camtasia Studio.
I think, no matter, what software you are using, but it is possible to make screencast in high quality. You don't need a webcam. The only thing you need is to set up screen resolution.
But I can find a lot of screencasts on youtube in 360p, 480p, 720p.
Why???
You don't need to use an expensive webcam, actually, you don't need any webcam to make a screencast.

The second: what quality is better for screencasts? I think, 1080p, right?

A) Some people don't know editing enough to change their settings to HD B) Their Internet is slow and thus can't upload HD Videos.

And no, 720 is fine, sure if you can go 1080 but 720 is fine and is still HD.

How is this effecting you anyway?

Is it bad that I read that in a Sheldon Cooper (Big Bang Theory) voice ? :p

My notebook has resolution 1920/1080, so for me 1080 is better than 720.

Try to watch 1-hour tutorial in 240-360p quality in fullscreen mode :)

Both 720 and 1080 are 16:9 so it shouldn't be major, however I disapprove when people record tutorials on their desktop in 1080 and render in 720, if they record tutorials in 1080 then yeah it should be rendered in 1080.
