When did you join a network?

I think I did when I had about 50 subs and got to a standstill I was looking for info and support and my network deffinatly helped me get my videos to the next level!

I debated joining one when I reached 10,000 subs/ couple million total views, but, after researching, I quickly realized they could barely offer me anything more than I could already get for either free or less than they'd take.

Now, with very few exceptions, I don't see any reason for anyone to join one.

When I joined my network in 2012, I had about 295 subs. Now four years later and at 4600+ subs, I'm seriously considering either flying free permanently, or flying free while I research networks that don't do lock in contracts. By the way, the sig video is not from my main channel, but from an experimental aggregator channel I started a couple of weeks ago.

i considered it at 20k, but like @Shakycow mentioned, they couldn't offer me anything worthwhile. now im near 70k, and no network, and doing fine.
they are mostly useful for those that can't monetise in their home country, and gamers that want to use licences to play certain games i think.

With my current channel I got approved into a network almost instantly. However I switched to a better network only 5 months ago!
