What's with the New YT Layout, People don't like it...

Please answer this Question for me I've had just now 15 emails about this Subject, my friends on My YT account are asking me to change back to the old layout... if they can change the layout, why not give us the option of Branding?

People didn't like the old youtube layout but people learn to like it after a while, I mean I hated at the start, now I like it (the new layout). But anyways you wont be able to change it to the old channel after march 3rd; on march 3rd youtube are going to force you to change to the new channel layout.

Yep same with me. I hated it so much but then I forced myself to start using it and now I love it.

You will not get branding options when you are invited to revenue sharing. if have full version of the partner program then yes..

I am used to it now... but youtube forcing the new layout on us, that takes the p**s...

Every website comes to problems like these when changing things, they cause an uproar, some people like the new look, some people hate it and this will go on until the site dies completely. The same will eventually happen here on the forums although not to the extent of the changes on YouTube. If they want people to use then they have to force it eventually, it might seem unfair but its something we all need to get used to even if we dont like it so much, all we can do other than that is go to another website that is similar but in the case of YouTube they're one of the only decent video upload websites. I doubt they will change things back after all the money they must have put into the new design, I think a lot of the features you miss could be brought back like customisation, perhaps even better branding for partners.

If your friends on YouTube dont like viewing it on your channel they will have to get used to it, it is being forced soon so if they will be sticking around there's no choice, I wouldn't go changing it back either based on a few peoples opinions, do what you would like to yourself and weight up the pros and cons

I have to admit that's good the way you put that... I'm not saying that the new layout is bad, But i just thought that if the Partnered people are having Banners on their Channels... can't we get a choice weather to change to the old layout or not? c'mon isn't that a simply nice Question?

I guess it would be nice but the whole point in doing the new layout etc is progression as well as Google/YouTube getting more revenue and if they were to just let people use the old one their plans wouldn't be going ahead and things to them wouldn't be progressing, they would have a massive userbase not using what they paid for.

The new Layout is not popular amoungst YouTuber's because it's more confusing, and the new channels lack the customizability, which I think sucks, but I'm now using the new channels and they're not so bad. I wish they'd allow us to Feature other stuff on the Featured Tab...say like...channel comments. It's getting annoying keep having to visit my channel and then click feed, then comments just to see a new comment. Hopefully YouTube will improve up on the new channels and they'll be much more welcomed. Thee new homepage though is quite bad. It makes it harder for your Subscribers to see your new videos as they get scrolled down, and there's no way to click off the videos you don't want to watch. Because of this I am positive I'm losing out a big part of my Subscriber views. Has anyone else noticed this?
