Hello AlanJ, I just quickly scanned through your channel a little. First of all, I can see you put a lot of effort into your channel, which is half the battle.
I'll share some of my thoughts but you need to understand I am no expert, and rather new to the youtube landscape. I've only been doing it seriously for about 3 months, and many here have years of experience over me. I do have some credentials in graphic design, and marketing, which have become invaluable to me since I started my channel.
- It's great that you've done some custom thumb nails. I encourage you to continue this, though I do recommend doing some study into typography and composition if you wish to improve them.
- I also noticed that you give some commentary in some of your videos. This is also a good thing and I encourage you to continue to do so. How ever, I have noticed you are a younger person (correct me if I'm wrong). Not to say young people can't youtube, but generally speaking, older folks tend to attract more of a following. This of course is out of your control, so just keep doing what you're doing, and as you age, and if you are still giving commentary, I think you'll see more followers as time progress.
- I have noticed the channel that you run with the most subs is gaming. On that channel I've also noticed some mishmash of other things as well. Try to stay on topic, and more importantly, try to understand why people subscribed to you in the first place, and give them more of that.
- Though your mic is not terrible by any means, upgrading will only improve the experience of your viewers.
