What is there is a song playing on a radio in the background?

In a recent car dash cam review video I am working on, my wife turned the radio on during our drive when I was recording footage for my review and was listening to some Oldies music. My review video will be about 20 minutes long when complete, and the portion with the radio in the background is only about 30 seconds. I am wondering if YT will demonetize the whole video because of that small segment?

Your wife ruined your footage unfortunately. You can't use any of that. Whether it gets you demonetised or not is naive & not really important (although it will). Getting landed with a litigation case against you is the bigger picture/problem. IP is strict on music. You can't have anything playing in the background that you don't own the rights to or have permission for. That includes turning on the radio, music playing in a bar /store etc if your filming out in a public place. There are no 'ifs' or 'buts'. You just can't do it.

Well, that is what I thought, but I just wanted to check. I have already muted that part of the video audio anyway. I was just curious. Thanks for the feedback.
