What camera should I get.

I've been looking into the Canon EOS 70D. Its supposed to have some of the smoothest, fastest and quietest focusing in a DSLR camera.

For the wind most cameras will pick it up pretty bad
What you can do for that is buy an external microphone and a dead cat (fluffy cover)
That can stick onto just about any DSLR
I have the Olympus sp-720uz and it was cheap enough, though I am upgrading to a canon 600d soon witch is abit expensive

You could always get a camera second hand if that suits you

I just bought a Canon ti3, it broke the bank, but I'll let you know how I like it once it gets here!

I have a Canon 60D. Beautiful Video, and I put a tiny wind screen over the on-board mic. Works OK. But mostly I use an H4n to record the audio and synch audio and video with Pluraleyes.

Sound is wayyyy important.
