Just starting a topic asking opinions.

While reading the news about upcoming policies on videos about guns and firearms
I read this post in facebook. among other arguments they named a series
of (existing by this moment) types of videos in youtube related to:

HOW TO MANUFACTURE METH
"Shake and Bake" Meth manufacture
Meth Manufacturing:
Make methylamine hydrochloride
HOW TO MANUFACTURE CHLOROFORM
EXPLOSIVES
How to make detonators
Making gun cotton
DIY Molotov cocktail instructions
HOW TO COMMIT CRIMES
How to make a fake ID
How to steal a car
How not to get caught doing Graffiti
How to Shoplift:

no links required I guess...

Oh wow do those videos really exist? Do you think it’s clickbait or it really has that stuff in it?

they do exist Courtney, I have visited the "steal a car" one and it was so sad.
One comment said "thanks a lot, this is how they ruined my car until
they realized they needed an electronics key"
(guess he meant an immobilizer or something...)

That’s terrible, I don’t how youtube could allow that kids will learn bad things and end up replicating everything they seen on the internet.
 
It's assholes like that, that leads to Youtube losing advertisers and start Adpocalypses and leading to all smaller channels being demonetized and who knows what else. I really wish there was a better way to monitor for this kind of junk so that the innocent channels that do abide to the rules don't end up getting punished instead of all these sick videos.

I don't think there'll ever be a 'better way to monitor' other than YouTube hiring a bajillion of moderators that'll work 24/7.
 
Wow, I am shocked by this. This just should never even make it onto YT. Between this and the stupid videos from other YouTubers, it really paints the of YT in such a bad light. And the news programs will jump at the chance to a bad YT story. Some people comment "I am on the weird part of YT again", but this takes the biscuit on that quote.
