YTtalk Mad
I had a video go "viral" recently thanks to Reddit. Unfortunately only after a few thousand views did it get demonetized. On the second day I made only about $2 from the 80K+ views or so. I only realized the next day that it was demonetized, so I sent over an email to YouTube and highlighted my video.
I told them I had other videos in regards to LSD (even though it's a controversial topic, due to my other ones being monetized I was confused on why this one was suddenly hit) and that this video, unlike the others, didn't even go into LSD. It was just a video edit replicating the effects, like a simulation. It took a few hours for them to view my email, but finally, got a response back and monetization re-enabled.
Now I've seen videos of mine of all sorts get demonetized only to get re-enabled a few hours/days/weeks later, or the other way around. I've had videos where I THOUGHT they'd get demonetized instantly never get affected, while others that I specifically made sure to try and make advertiser friendly still fail for some reason. (I don't know why my video about my Marketing Company got demonetized lol)
So always make sure to contact YouTube and get involved! It's worth a try, and as Mr. Trump would say, "What have you got to lose?"
The higher up you go though, eventually YouTube DOES give you the feature to instantly appeal videos. I do not have this feature yet, but I think it might be around the corner for me. I know channels like PsychedSubstance and have seen him use this feature. But before then, do send emails because you could be losing out on a good amount of money!
