No Mercy For The Weak
I really need to get this out here. Its bugging me as hell.

You might wonder as a "Pro 1337 Gamer" what i am meaning with this.
No offense man, but if you are uploading MW2, MW3, Battlefield clips on youtube are just feeding one of the big cancers of youtube gaming. Another cancer is Minecraft and Amnesia.

To make it easier, its Overplayed Overuploaded Crap.
If you are one of those uploading this kind of content, why do you do it?
 
they're just trying to get some of the views that the people who upload these games get, because sadly they are the most watched games on youtube :( that or they just like the game :P
 
I dont upload that sort of stuff myself but it is interesting to me, I kinda get the feeling they choose to upload that stuff because of a couple of reasons, 1 I think it could be down to them enjoying the game a lot, perhaps they play it every day over and over and dont really like other games so much or its one theyre very good at so its all they play and record, 2 I think it might be because they think the games are popular and 3 the games are or were massive games at release and extremely popular so the playing and recording of them will saturate YouTube because it is what is or was hot. Next up will be Black Ops 2 for sure and MW3 and Black Ops will fizzle out eventually.
 
The one thing that annoys me most about "Lets Play" series are the ones that stop halfway through to start another game and never go back to finish the original one!

I finally found a good Perfect Dark Let's Play, and then he stops it after the 7th/8th level to play Castlevania instead. (Don't get me wrong, Castlevania is amazing - but not on the same level as PD).

I know he isn't the only culprit, but thats the one that sticks in my mind the most.

I don't usually watch COD, MineCraft or any of the other overused ones. Once you've seen one 720 no-scope headshot, you've seen them all.
 
they do since they enjoy and love that game and are proud are there vids no one should tell them to not do it just because they dont like that game if you dont like it dont watch it

I do that sometimes. Stop a game in the middle. I only do it if I get bored with it and the views are dwindling. Plus it keeps the videos fresh with new games.

i've done it a few times but i like to keep my lets play channel clean so i usually private or remove the unfinished LP's to maybe complete at another time :P
 
I heavily agree, the bandwidth their using for the videos can be put to better use.

The amount of Amnesia uploaded is atrocious. Terabytes of the same thing.

I dislike most gaming channels. Mainly because the majority of them are boring, and half the time, the gamer doesn't even care about the game. They only play it to get views.
I enjoy gaming channels that actually respect the game that they're playing and add some entertaining commentary. Not ones who play Slender and Minecraft and all of those overused games.
