Cool video! Your point about your music is admirable, you seem to be down to earth and realistic, you're keeping yourself in control of your music and your opportunities which will in turn enable you to grow and to learn, you have a lot of sense! 
And yeah.. I tend to stay in my comfort zne but make a conscious effort to try and do new things, do different things in my life and things that scare me so I can prove to myself that I can push myself when needed, I can take the risks and win or lose, success or fail, I tried at least.
