Starter microphone for recording vocals?

I want to try to record some vocals and make some music but I'm not too sure about what microphone to buy. Any music channels have suggestions of a starter microphone?

Depends on what your preference is, I would recommend a USB Audio Technica to a USB Blue Yeti for basic recording and maybe some voice actings to slow smooth singing. However, if you want a more professional microphone you're going to be needing an Audio Interface as well as other technical equipment to provide a proper tone in your voice.

I would highly recommend purchasing Adobe Audition as well as something similar to Garage Band to produce quality voice content.

Basic microphones would be the blue snowball, or the blue yeti. I'd also recommend a pop filter.
