SSD Question

It will only start up faster and read cached previews faster. Wether sony vegas uses cached previews to render I don't know. Bear in mind, previewing needs to render, it just doesn't save a file to a selected spot and stuff like rendering would do

It will only load up faster and do the cache thing faster. Rendering depends on your CPU, GPU and settings. So yeah, getting SSD for rendering isn't worth it, better buy sata3 WD drive, you'll see almost no difference.

A SSD will make your system feel much snappier overall. Files will be read and written much faster. Since rendering is CPU (with some software also GPU) intensive, a SSD will not help with render times at all.
