I'm not sure when I should join one and which to join. I'm kind of confused on what to do at this point. Any help would be great!
 
A sponsorship isn't something you join. It's something certain companies will offer to certain channels, usually ones with lots of views and subs from the demographics that they're trying to target. A sponsorship is when a company offers money or free products in return for the channel promoting their products or services.

Maybe you're getting confused with networks? A network is like adsense - they put ads on your channel in return for a cut of the money.
 
I think OP meant a network. In that case, forget about joining anything until you can mae YouTube your source of income. Before that, don't waste your time on things like that.
