Should I be embarrassed about my videos?

I told a few friends about my channel and of course, within a few weeks, everyone in my high school knows about my videos. They tell me they like them and everything, but still. I'm not sure if my whole school knowing about my channel is a good thing. I have a lot of subscribers so I think people are impressed about that. Would you be embarrassed if you were me?

I used to think the same...always kept my channel on the DL at school. Totally regret it now. That's an awesome way to promote your videos! People spread the word!
 
If you are proud of what you upload and enjoy doing what you do, then there's no need to feel embarrassed. I actually wish that everyone in my school knew about my channel just so that people could know me as a person better.
 
Judging by your videos I wouldn't be embarrassed but it's a normal feeling to have. To some people being a YouTuber may seem weird and they won't get it. But, no you shouldn't be embarrassed.

You're an artists, why would you ever be embarrassed to show it?
 
Everyone in my school has seen my videos, even teachers. They seem to like them. Doesn't really bother me. More views, i guess.
 
well at first some people might laugh at you, some might ignore you, and some just might be rude at you.. Reasons are because they are jealous or your vids really sux :).. I mean don't get me wrong, but to get fans and people that know values, first you have to go through hell, i mean to conquer the haters.. If you deal with them and keep making vids, then your winning..
Am not someone who has a lot of fans or haters, but i know some people in real life that i was talking to the other day and they told me the path.
 
When i was in highshool i told everyone when i was in grade 9 alot of people thought they were awesome and helped me make videos and some were assholes and would give out personal info in comments all i did was block them basicly some in your school will be dicks some wont
