Not at all. Go right ahead. =] I've been a film major myself so I know the artistic struggle for sure. Hopefully you and I will know more about this as time moves on.

I went for digital cinematography and I ended up quitting it because it was online and everything we were going over I already learned from watching videos. I DO want to at some point make a video about film school and the pros and cons.

A lot of filming rules are there for a reason, it's pleasing to the eyes for a viewer. A lot of directors, even creative and revolutionary directors, will still use these rules as it's a reason they are where they are today. It's about how you apply those rules to your creations, not how you break them
