Reiview our latest video - Why is it performing so poorly?

AM2PM

Loving YTtalk
This is the latest Twin Versus Twin. We released it Monday night and hoped the start of the NFL season might help but it's performance has been miserable. Haven't even broken 100 views. I added a teaser clip at the beginning that we hadn't done before and tried to make the sound and lighting better. We have a tentative new theme song as well. I'd love to hear what you guys think. We actually reshot this whole video because the first time we played it was very boring and Andrew didn't say anything funny at all. Thanks in advance.

That's hardly a flop that's 70% of your 151 subs in less than 5 days! None of us are AAA tube stars stop comparing yourself to them.

#1 market.
Where are you marketing your videos? Fliers, facebook, twitter. People don't just "find" new things. Lead them there ( don't think adsense campaign is what I'm talking about) tell your friends, work, family get it shared!

#2 Target audience
Your channels prime theme is twin vs twin. Excellent.
However this video is a ( no matter how you define it ) a gaming video. Or letsplay. The singlehandedly most over saturated video. Why just look at yttalk, its filled with people depressed over lack of acknowledgement of their great video. Even given a Hollywood budget of 10 mill to make a letsplay of madden or whatever, no one would watch it or find it for many years without a market. Ever find any great films you never heard of? Market see #1

#3 Andrew
Andrew is present in most of your videos.
:) jk just trying out how he seems to be the butt end of some jokes in your videos.

Make a twin vs twin video of you guys playing many games but only show the brief best moments not an entire game *what I'd do*

Thanks for checking it out. I agree that the biggest problem is that it is a gaming video. We have shared it. Andrew actually has 20K followers on Twitter, but people don't click. We did this one because it was easy and we like to produce weekly content. Sometimes it has to be easy. The twin versus twin thing is the most important and I feel like I have some credible data or analytics that tells me people would be more interested in the actual comparison of us as twins, versus learned skills, etc. We will still do them, but I have some ideas upcoming that should be more interesting and unique. Andrew and I constantly joke at each others expense. It's fun!
Thanks again.

as @morelikecappuccino said, your video is performing great for a small channel, its doing fantastic. i am not sure what you expected? its nfl17 so your never going to rank for it on google because there is a million videos.

as to what i thought of the video. it was okay, it all felt kinda forced a bit. like saying stuff all the time and trying to be funny, it felt i was watching two 5 years olds playing "i just need a score, stop x 10 etc, i mean where is the smack talk, the brotherly banter!. also not much talk of the actual game of football, you didn't even mention which teams each of you was.

also for a video 3:39 long a minute long introduction to what your doing is wayyyyyyyyyyy too long

i did like the glasses bit. thats me all over lol

Thanks for checking it out. You're right. It was forced. We had filmed one version previously where we just played, but it was too long and too boring. We just slapped it together, and I've learned not to do that again. This is our worst video.

As someone who likes gaming channels occasionally I think sound effects are needed. They add humour that isn't forced. Also I would brighten up the video a bit. :)
