So to record Pokemon Showdown and chess videos, I've been using OBS. (Open Broadcaster Software) When I finish a video, I load it on to Windows Live Movie Maker to add music to the video in the background. However, WLMM has to convert the video from an MP4 to a Windows Media File (WMF) to edit, and for some reason WMF crops the rectangle on which the video is shown like crazy, making it look bad on youtube. Even converting the new file back to MP4 keeps it cropped. In addition, if I use yt:crop=16:9 to fix this, the video quality becomes absolute garbage at 360p and 480p, only at 1080p does it retain the original quality. Is there any way around this?
