Playlist settings question

Hi, In the playlist settings there additional options and one option is Set as official series for this playlist
What does that mean?
What happens if I click the box to select this option?

If you click that box it means the video can't be in any other playlist It means that playlist is a series.

Thanks, but does that mean my playlist or anyone's playlist?

if it's just my playlist then why would I want it to be just in one?

'Official series' is really useful because it pretty much guarantees that the next video will be in the Up Next section above the other recommendations. It's a great way to ensure people stay on your channel, so I highly recommend using it as often as possible for playlists.

I have seen some people have it on the front above their videos, i'd like to do that

I know what you mean, this is one of those terribly implemented features in Youtube and I have no idea why it works this way. When you're on your channel page, hover over your name. All the way to the right of the area where your name is, there's a little pencil icon. Click that and it will open a dialog box, in that box you want to click 'Enable' on the Browse navigation. From there you can modify your front page however you want. It's a wonky system but that's now it works lol
