Networking for growth...... What?

Ok guys so some ppl even on the forums have been saying to grow fast to network or something and I don't know exactly what this is I know it's something to to with social networks but what is it really and how does this strategy help grow your channel thanks for the help guy

Basically networking is using services or people to benefit your goals and vice versa, social media (Reddit, Twitter, facebook), collaboration, friends, and other similar service. A long with benefiting yourself you need to help others benefit. For example watching someone else's video and giving a legitimate comment of encouragement can help you out as well.
