(First of all i'm not quite sure if this is the correct topic to post here.)

Hi guys i have a question.
Is it legal to record a game using a emulator? I want to record The legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, and yes i do own the original game.

Moved this here for you I think it depends on the game publishers terms whether or not you can make videos using footage of the game. I have read that Nintendo are not keen on their games being uploaded.

Don't monetize anything you post by Nintendo at least to be safe. They have been known to flag down channels for using their content or absorb monetization from videos using their content. They kind of backpeddled from the backlash when they were really the only ones to come out and say they were going to flag videos and absorb monetization. So I don't really know at this point. However I don't think there are any laws prohibiting you from recording gameplay footage from an emulator. As long as you are not downloading the games or show you are downloading games than you should be fine.
