Nearly at 3000 subs need help (audience retention)

Hey there
I have been on and off posting for a year and I am near 3000 subs and I am finding it hard? Audience retention is getting harder?

I can't work out where I am going wrong ( Or right ) And is there any advice or anything I should take into consideration?

Would collabs help? or Fixing a style? ( I do gaming and vlogs btw)

Also videos which in my head should be good come out bad? For example my Tokyo trip videos did terrible? Yet me saying sorry for my absence got 10x more views?
