my recording stuff STILL isnt working!

MrSkerzzzz

I've Got It
I try recording with OBS and my computer said it was too full and couldnt finish recording the current video. i reinstalled OBS and it worked for one video but then i tried recording another one right after and it said my computer was too full again. I am recording to a 3tb external hard drive so my computers memory size shouldnt be the problem. would installing updates on my computer help? i also have a registry cleaner (i think its slimcleaner) but im afraid that if i clean everything it will get rid of stuff i want to keep. those two things are the only thing i can think of that might fix the problem.

The fact that it is an external HDD might be the problem.
Do you have enough free space to record a session on your internal hdd's?

YOu could always remvove the external HDD from it's casing and install it in the PC.

its a laptop so i dont think i want to do that. heard its way harder witha laptop. and i dont think its the external hdd becuase i have recorded at least two videos on it without a problem. (although ive tried many more times than that). there should be enough space on my internal hdd because most of the FRAPS files that were on there, i made them small AND transfered them to the external.

I honsetly dont know what could be wrong...
Are you one who download and install any and everything you come across? Is you machine filled to the brink with software you dont need?
When was the last time you re-isntalled Windows? It might help.

And what is OBS?

Is your HDD set with Energy Saving turn off features like mine was? Most externals are, my Toshiba 1TB turned off all the time regardless of my settings in Windows.[DOUBLEPOST=1401004295,1401004261][/DOUBLEPOST]
will reinstalling windows get rid of everything?

I don't think so, what is formatted to? Some of them are formatted to FAT32.

i will have to check if its on energy saving when i get home. and how do i figure out if its formatted to FAT32?[DOUBLEPOST=1401006648,1401006504][/DOUBLEPOST]what is FAT32? lol
