Newest statistics tell us that 1.6 million people in the UK are affected by an eating disorder, a quarter of which are male. Thinspiration has glamorized these illnesses and pressure from worldwide media sources are extremely damaging to young minds. My sister came home the other day from school upset because another child had called her 'fat'. She's 3 years old.
