Dog Crazy
Hey, so I've been looking at some lens filters
and im trying to figure out if i want some or not
Id like some for general photography but is their a type of lens filter that would add something more to my videos, Like an instagram type of filter since i can't do it in editing right now :P
and have you any recommendations? :)

What lens do you currently use and what camera? I have two filters, one is a Tiffen variable ND filter for cutting out light when recording outdoors or when I need to use a wider aperture. The other is a polarizing filter, I have barely used the polarizing one in video to be honest.

Getting a canon 600D, Haven't settled on a lens yet, I think the 18-55mm

I havent tried any other kinds of filters to comment but I think an ND filter would be most useful to you or if youre interested in fancy colouring you could do that in post using colour correction in your editing software or even try a colour changing light for different lighting colours, Philips makes one:

What are you looking for mostly, to change the colours of the video?

Filters in the instagram sense are different from filters you put in front of the lens on the camera.
Filter used in the instagram sense mean that it is applying a cross-processed image style onto your picture.
A filter in front of the lens on the camera will limit light or shade the sky or change how reflections bounce back.

In order to change the color grading of your videos, you would need to do that in post with an effect or by modifying color curves and stuff.
