Just hit 10k views!!!

Okay! I just got to 10k views!!! Woohoo!!

When will Youtube allow me to make some money off of my videos? Do I just hit the 10k threshold and then it automatically allows me to make money off of the ads or do I have to go somewhere in my settings and change something?

I have monitization on my videos already.

MONETIZE EVERYTHING NOW!!! Actually, MatPat and his wife say it's wise to avoid monetization until your channel gets decently sized because the ads might be off putting for people visiting smaller channels.
 
I monetized them from the very beginning... and then realized the money stopped at $2.94... and then I found the article about not being able to monitize until I hit 10k views.. So, I made it my business to upload enough content to get to the 10k views, which I literally just got to 3 days ago.. Now, Im wondering what happens next? Does YouTube just notice I am over 10k views, and the monitization just sets in, or do they have to review my channel first and THEN the monitization sets in... ya know. :)
 
I would not be worried about these things because they have a threshold around 75$ is the least amount before you can withdraw money. So you need to work a lot before that. I would also suggest that you do not monetize videos bellow some certain amount of views for example 100 because you are at the beginning. I do not monetize any video below 500 views. It will help you to build some community. And if you have less than 100 subscribers and you monetize everything, who will want to subscribe more. Think about it.
 
Congrats on 10K views. I would get everything in place to enable monetization, even if you don't take advantage of it right away.
