Hey guys, you may or may not have heard of a little site called King of Web where they 'reward internet awesome' by holding a vote contest anyone can enter once a month. The top prize is in the king of the web category (supposedly only for famous people) and it's $5k. The top prize in all other categories (where everyone can compete) is $1k.
This contest encourages youtubers to put forth an effort to create better content, expand their network, and find new channels to subscribe to themselves. The more votes you get, the more exposure you get and thus the more good stuff such as views, subscribers, and new friends will come your way.
My goal is to grow my channel. If I don't win, I at least want a few people to notice me and acknowledge my existence on youtube. If I do win, the money will be spent on improving the quality of my videos (new camera, lighting, backdrop, editing software, mic, props, ect). My chances are win are slim so I don't really see it happening. However, my chances of increasing my viewership are great with the help of YT Talk.
