How to grow channel in 2020 - my advices

Since this forum did help me a lot in past, 1st time when I did try it. I feel obligated to share this with you. Since you did help me a lot in past.

1. Gaming is dying. Unless you know someone from top, or have tons of money - don't even try it.
2. YouTube is now forcing reactions, reactions are "new gaming". YT is heavy into reactions now.
3. It's super easy to grow in next few areas - animated story telling, reddit channels, meme channels. And ofc - reactions from point 2.
4. Taggs are pretty much useless - I did have same views with 0 taggs, and with 15 good taggs. Taggs are only working when you are abusing them a lot. But they are pretty much useless for me. ;) So I had tons of videos with zero taggs, and still had same views as videos with good and multiple taggs.
5. Invent something which was never seen before. If you have content which someone else already has - don't even try it. People don't like to watch same stuff all over, people want something new and unique - no matter what it is.

If I find something else in my brain memory, I will let you know. ;)

Yeah, I did remember something important.
YT is forcing talk shows now, and celebrity people. I think they will in some time, put all eggs in that basket. ;)
YT is all about adopting to change.
It is not platform where you create stuff which does interest you.
It became platform where you create videos which people want you to create. ;)
YT has set of "unofficial rules", and purely and with no lies - it's game about man trying to beat machine. ;)
It's just a game.
YT has policy, you follow this "unofficial rules", and the moment you stop follow them, your channel will "die".
Ofc, YouTube will never tell you which rules that are, but pretty much everyone knows them. ;)

And just few more general tips:

If you are a gamer - I would suggest you to maybe try gaming on Facebook. Lot of people started to go there now. ;) I've heard it's easier to rise it then gaming on YT. Unless ofc, you know someone who is bigger. But I've heard from few people it's easier to grow it there, then on YT.

Tik Tok - super easy to grow there. ;) Don't underestimate the power of Tik Tok. ;) But, it's hard there to find content which both people on Tik Tok love, and your YT subs like. So growing audience on Tik-Tok is limited by your niche. You will get followers on Tik Tok, but based on niche, you will use some percentage of it. It's hard to send all people from Tik-Tok to your YT. It really depends on niche. ;)
