How Should I Brand My Channel?

Hello everyone!

Just looking for some feedback on what the best way to go about my Channel would be! I was talking to my boss at the social media marketing agency I work for, and he was telling me that I should really try and gear towards gay guys.

If you haven't checked out my channel, it has to do with fashion, skin care, and my adventure vlogs. Although I feel like this type of channel might gear towards gay guys, I just don't want to really try and overly sexualize things like some of the popular youtube gays have done (Davey Wavey).

If you were to look at my channel, what kind of branding would you most associate it with?

I appreciate all feedback and constructive criticism!

Thanks,

If i was to brand your channel id say ur a male guru
like a guy zoella :P if that makes sense
if you want you can always make another channel if you want to do more then one branding for yourself :)

Do you think It would be weird to include Vlogs about things I want to talk about and keep uploading my adventure vlogs? I've seen vloggers like Jenn Im from Clothesencounters do it, but she also had many beauty based videos. I guess the question I'm trying to get across is "Are my videos too different from one another and unable to fit in a package to the point where I'm not hitting a main demographic?"

I don't think so. I watch quite a few channels that brand themselves as "beauty gurus" and the like and most do upload vlogs that touch on their opinions (outside of the beauty world) and trips they take and the like :)

Thanks for your feedback! :3 I was just wondering if I needed to change things about my channel to try and get more people interested! I do enjoy having those 3 topics, so I'll keep them![DOUBLEPOST=1407184836,1407184798][/DOUBLEPOST]

They're so fun to film! I just don't want it to be too redundant if it's fashion all the time :P hehehe

I've been experimenting with different videos on my channel and from what I've found, or at least what I like most about YouTube is a person's personality. I would watch ANYTHING with a person who I felt connected to or just enjoyed their personality and content. I don't think you need to gear your channel toward one demographic or type of person as many people would enjoy your content.

I think all your videos fit together. "Vlogger" is a really diverse term and varies from person to person.

You could create a "house style"; the standard color\text\graphics that you could use in your videos\channel design.
Your thumbnails are okay, maybe you could use the photo from 1:50 as your thumbnail from your Pancake in a jar video for example.
The channel icon design looks great by the way.

I agree with Noelle, if I love a person for their personality, I'll pretty much watch whatever they publish. I think your content can be diverse as long as you stay true to yourself!
