How much have your videos changed since you made your first video?

How have you improved them, or have you completely changed what you post? A friend recently started a brand new channel with a different topic but his old channel is pretty much dead, this made me wonder how people's videos have evolved both in content and maybe hardware you use to make them.

From the old channel we had, we changed direction completely, we now focus on music relate topics. Our videos have improved since we have a better set, more comfortable in the camera and so on! Hopefully our music videos will get better as we go but we've only got one so far!

My first video on my current channel is pretty cringe-worthy, but my very first video on my very first channel is honestly the worst YouTube video I have ever seen. I would say I've improved over the years, but I've still got a long way to go...
My biggest improvement is that I started scripting my videos. It gives the whole video a better flow.

My very first video was in 2007 when I used a really bad digital camera to make a shaky tour of my apartment. It was underlit, had terrible sound quality, and was really focused on just whatever I could get into the viewfinder.

Now I actually have editing equipment! And lighting equipment! And stuff!

Even in 3 videos my quallity and commentary changed alot. I m growing every day ( i hope so) and try do practise a lot.

My English accent is not that perfect, so my recent videos have improved accent commentary.
My thumbnails were not-so-stylish before, so now my thumbnail design is improving and becoming more eye catchy.
I have purchased the BANDICAM software, so the watermark has been removed, so I have worked a lot for my channel.

My first videos last summer just showed pets doing something interesting like playing in the sprinkler. I was planning on just making those and having some go viral (wishful thinking from a naive YouTuber). Now I tell a story more and mention that the animals are from a shelter and have been adopted.

My commentary has improved ten-fold, both my audio and video quality has improved (though still needs a bit of work XD), my channel has gone through a rebranding which has affected the outros and the thumbnails of my channel. It's cool to look back!

Overall just about everything has improved drastically.

A lot more editing involved, and I'm now shooting gootage myself for the videos, whereas in the beginning, it was just a series of still images. Pretty boring, but I like to think my narrative made up for it.
