How do you promote at the end of videos?

I Love YTtalk
I tried searching for this, but didn't know what this was called, so I kept getting mixed results.

How do people add those snippets at the end of their videos linking to their next and previous videos with each respective video clip visible on the screen? Can you add that on YouTube, or do you have to manually edit that in before you upload your video to YouTube?

I'm not quite sure if I explained that clearly, I'll try to find a link as an example.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

it's a combination of using annotations (a youtube feature) and your editing software.

First in your video itself you add the video you want to link to, then once the video is upload, you use the annotations feature to add a box around the video and then link it to the video you want. I'll try to find you a tutorial.

ah, cool. thank you!^^
Not sure that helps. I think he means he wants it done the way 'How it Should Have Ended' does, with small screens showing and linking other videos at the end of the current video you're watching.
