How do I do this in Audacity?

In this music, at about 50 seconds in the lyrics are supposed to be

'You used to dealing with basic *******, basic s**t all the time'

I'd like to know how to get that effect to censor out swearing.

But because it's a radio edit it has been censored out using some weird sounding effect, any help would be awesome :)

Moved this to editing :) (or, it was in another section a second ago but the refresh changed it, hmm sudden glitch in the matrix??)

In order to do that without having to put a beep over it or cut off the sound you would need the track layers, like the backing, bass, and voice, and so you could lower the voice track for that part. You can't do it with audacity but adobe audition has a feature where it can pick out distinct voices in a song and get rid of them without affecting anything else :)

I have just 'bought' Adobe Audition. Could you do me a favor and find me a tutorial to do as you mentioned :)

This video does a good job of it :) Also note that this was made in 2012 so it might have changed slightly but normally it stays the same, adobe uses a lot of universal methods across their programs

@Charlie - Stop making posts about this all over the forum. (I deleted your other one from a few hours ago)
