HELP! SPONSORSHIP!

PrettyGamer

I Love YTtalk
Hi! I've been wondering how that sponsorship works like fame something on the sponsorship link. What is good about being sponsored? What are the pros and cons. I don't know anything about sponsorship and partnership. Please enlighten my confused mind!

Well for famebit you have to have 1000 subs in order to be able to use it. That doesn't mean youll get deals right away though. From what I understand with that company you have to make up a plan of how you want to present the item and the company decides if they want you to do it and then you discuss the payment. Once your channel gets bigger ish youll get approached by companies too, but be careful if you do. BUT for now just keep working at your channel and worry about the sponsered stuff later :)

I see! I see! Thanks for that. Yes been working on the channel already even if it will start next year. Been reading and been asking questions because I want to learn about all there is to learn so when we start we will be prepared. Also have a checklist on what to do and what was done. For me having a checklist and the experimentations are the hardest thing to do and can be too time consuming. Especially the banner and logo part and also the intro one too.. :)

You must have at least several thousands views (better 10 000) per new movie for a company to be interested in your channel and offer you a sponsorship (product review). Even than it is not guaranteed.

Pros: Payment for your time and/or free products

Cons: You've sold your soul. ;)
It can be a challenge to make sponsored content look natural within the scope of what you do.
Fans can think less of you for promoting sponsored content (see point 1).
Depending on the brand owner, the stipulations and deadlines can be demanding

I've worked on a few pieces of sponsored content through my site, rather than YT, and while it can be financially worthwhile it's not just as simple as saying "This thing is great!" and banking a cheque. I turn down probably 90% of the sponsored content opportunities I'm offered because they're just not relevant to my audience and that's one group I won't disrespect.

Oh thanks for that.. But I am really so curious that I can't pass to check it out.. Actually I'm just on the experience on checking how to negotiate, how to make business deals.. I think it can make myself build up a reputation for some kind of business practice.. I love to really have a try on everything I think is worth trying to get the feel, idea and the touch of it.. :)..

At this stage I would put it completely out of your mind. The PR companies that work on promotional activities are paid to analyse and select key influencers for the target demographic related to the product they're looking to promote. I doubt they'd be interested in any YT channel unless it was pulling mad views to all its videos (like in the tens of thousands). Sponsorship isn't going to be a consideration for many YouTubers for a long time, if ever.

It's okay I just saw it and was a bit curious. I just want to practice some negotiation and business skills. Develop a business plan and the like.. I'm like an experimental and experience getter.. It will kill me if I can't get the hell out of my curiosity.. :)
