DSLR for shooting video?

Hey guys was just wondering if any of you with experience in this could help me out. I am looking to get a DSLR for shooting video - short films and maybe vlogs etc. I was thinking of the Canon EOS 650D. thoughts?
 
Look at my channel. Literally made every video with a canon t2i. DSLRs are an in expensive way to get high quality video. You can't really go wrong with getting one (provided it shoots in hd)
 
I use the canon 60d. It's a cheap way to get high quality video footage. But you have to think of buying an extern mic as well.
The lens is easy to replace so you should test some and get the one you think is the best. (it's better to throw money in lenses than the body) It's because you can re-use the lens when you buy a new body. I have a zoom lens. But I would suggest a fisheye and a 50mm lens maybe for vlogs etc.

Ps: dont forget to buy an high quality card. The 60d of mine uses 2 quality 10 , 16Gb Kingston SD cards. I even need more capicity because Sometimes When I video capture I lack the space to save the video and cant put it on the laptop.

Thanks. hahaha i actually just brought the EOS 650D today. I did prior research and this was my final question before going out to buy the camera. They had a special deal including 2 lenses. Try update some footage soon.
 
buy the cheapest dslr with a flip screen available for your initial films - this will make close to ground and overhead shots easy to monitor. the money you save on buying a cheaper cam - invest that in lenses... do your research on the lenses - whether it makes sense to buy them or rent them...
 
Have you thought about the canon 600D? the 650D is very similar to it yet, the 600D is cheaper now due to the 650D ;)

Have a look one of my videos on YouTube, most of which are recorded with the 600D
 
its a great idea, I use the canon t2i and it is fantastic to work with, if you ever get one or one like it make sure the sd card is class 6 or higher or the camera won't be able to record video since the higher the class the faster it can store stuff
