Does anyone miss the old YouTube Channel Style?

I remember creating templates and having to download Adobe Dreamweaver just so I could add hyperlink buttons to my channel design. Everything was on one page, uploads, friends, subscribers, playlists.

You had a full page of customisation and your Subscribers and Viewcount were in big bold letters in the corner. I will always remember spending about 5 days designing a brand new channel design and then YouTube announced they were changing the whole site before I had the chance to upload it.

They said something a long the lines of 'a lot of channels look messy which makes us as a company look messy' I don't think i'll ever forget that. It took away what was a full channel of expression and gave you back 1/5th of the customisation. Yeah it looks clean as heck and change is inevitable. Maybe I'm just nostalgic.

Does anyone miss it? or even old enough to know what i'm talking about? :tonguecute:
 
YES!!! All the time. I liked the latest previous layout a bit, but now they're making things a bit more circular and I really don't like it. Circular icons are the bane of my f*****g existence. I need to find other things to be angry about.
 
They should re-do the old channel stuff like you would be able to add your own background and such! But everyone change to a more simple way! They could have always made their own template to follow and we could just add certain links and done but nopeeee they change it to this simple way .-.
 
Right now I'm not digging the new update to YouTube. It sends me notifications to people i'm subscribed to that I didn't even turn the notification button on for, but I have faith YouTube will innovate to something greater and improve in time.
