Pfft!

On personal level I HATE IT, so I would rather not serve my viewers that annoying kind of ads either.

It seems that Youtube enabled TrueView in-stream ads for ebery monetized video. I would rather not go through all of them manually disabling this feature.

Is there a setting to disable TrueView in-stream ads overall?

nope. Youtube does that because those ads pay the best. If you want them gone you need to go into every one of your videos and turn it off

Try this. Go to your Video Manager. Click the top box which will select all videos (30 on a page at a time, I believe). It may also show, "do you want to select ALL of your videos". Click the Select All text if that is what you want. Then you click and select the action that you want to take. Select Monetization. I believe that it will allow you to set your global preferences to your liking.

I have over 700 videos but I do not monetize all of them. Maybe about 300. (Once a video gets very little traffic, I stop using ads to give free content).

I just tried the option that I suggested for you and but I told it to monetize ALL of my videos. It was successful and I think it would be for you as well.

markkaz! You just saved me hours of work, your suggestion seems to have worked, it took like 10-15 minutes for Youtube to process all the videos, but for the random 6 videos I checked the TrueView in-stream ads are now disabled! LOVE YOU! <3

You're welcome! Now others will know as well =)

Don`t disable them... Tick overview and trueview because trueview are the only type of ad that shows up regularly on mobile devices and if you don`t enable that, you won`t get paid for mobile views (make up over 60% of total views on youtube)

She stated on a personal level she hates (TruView) video ads so she would rather not serve her viewers that annoying kind of ads.

She isn't doing it for the money. Yes, she could be earning more money with TruView but it's her channel and it is up to her how she wants wants it to look.

As I stated, most of my videos do not have advertising. That's because I don't want to annoy my viewers with an advertisement for every single video that they watch. I don't want to be greedy. I also don't allow ads for presentations that are under three minutes. I feel that it creates a bad user experience when TruView ads appear for 15 seconds, 30, or even longer when the video isn't even that long.

Finally, if a video isn't getting that much traffic anyway, the pennies don't matter. To be honest, if a video is only going to get 3,000 total views, I don't need the $3 ($6 or whatever).
