Hey Guys!
I' writing an article about Multi Channel Networks for the german magazine PAGE (page-online.de)

In my research on the Multi Channel Networks i couldnt find big differences between them. They all do gaming, comedy, music etc. They all offer legal advice, production facilities, etc.

Where are the differences?
What are your experiences? Do certain Networks stand for something particular?

Any opinion would be so much appreciated!!!!
Thanks, Simon

I'm not really an expert on this but I'm with Fullscreen and they (maybe Maker too?) have a deal with UMPG and some other labels allowing their musician partners to legally cover & monetize certain songs that can be found in the catalogue - I haven't seen any other network offering the same thing.

Different ones will all offer different perks and negotiate to different levels with different offers.

Not that it really shows to smaller channels but if you have a bigger channel you can choose between who'll sell the most deals for you, who will produce a movie/ tv show/ web series with you, who will concentrate the most on video/ channel optimisation, who will act like a manager/ agent with the setup of live shows and events etc

They all do alot of different things!

Hey Peter, allright, thats interesting. So Fullscreen and Maker are better for Musicians than other MCNs, I assume. Thanks for the insight![DOUBLEPOST=1405686717,1405686612][/DOUBLEPOST]

Hey Shane,
I understand that you can negotiate different deals depending on the channel. But that probably counts for every MCN. Which MCNs produce movies and tv shows whith their channels? A assume not all of the do, right?

No problem, I'd add that it's better than other networks in case the given musician is making covers or has more covers than originals on their channel. ;)

this would not be something they all do, nor would even the ones that do, do it for all their channels.

Collective Digital Studios is one that has worked with movies (for some prank channels), TV shows (Fred, Annoying Orange) and Web Series (Video Game High School).

Fullscreen, invested 10M$+ in original programming but doesn't do much producing (TheFineBros TV series and Film is a good example)

ChannelFlip also have an active involvement in funding and producing UK-based web series.

There is likely others, I am talking fairly high budget in the three above, there would be others that do on a smaller level such as Maker which helps produce regular videos for some of their channels like BartBaker or Epic Rap Battles of History.

Hey Simon,
Some networks are more focused towards certain types of content creators. Some networks offer a lot of features, and some don't. Here's a page worth checking out: http://versus.paragon.yt/.
As a content creator, you'll always be best off with a network that focusses on the type of content you create in some way. That way, the offers you'll get will be more tailored to what you actually need.

Please don't post outside links like that, as it is against YTtalk rules, thanks :)

Its because its shortened and we don't allow shortened URLs here as you never know what's behind them without having to check using shortened URL preview sites :)
