Creative Nation?

I've Got It
Hey guys, I recently got a message on YouTube from a 'talent scout' from Creative Nation. I was just wondering if anyone has any opinions on these guys? Are they a scam? I checked out their website and they look pretty legit but I'm still just wondering if anyone has any opinions on them. Here is the message I got:

"Talent Scouts" from most networks are usually just 13-15 year olds trying to get a bit of extra revenue on their CoD channels man.

They've been around for a few years, but there's usually a few posts every month about payment problems and such. If I remember correctly the CEO is actually a member of YTtalk, but I haven't seen anything good/bad in quite a long time. Quite surprised to see that they're still running to be honest.

Yes, they're legit- but, for the most part, don't expect much (if anything) from any network outside of some music or maybe a few dashboard features.

More importantly- don't expect them to grow your channel or pay you any more that you'd get from YouTube without them.

Interesting. I'm currently partnered with Freedom and I've seen that there has been quite a few complaints about Freedom also, so I was considering switching over. I'm not expecting much, other than being able to advertise on their forums maybe. Their website does look pretty legit though: http://cnation.co
I don't really expect them to grow my youtube haha. If they don't really do anything then why do people even join networks?

Good question.

Years ago, there were certain YouTube features one could only get if they were big enough or if they joined a network, but Google has long opened the gates for everyone.

Nowadays, they seem best for gaming channels who are most likely to receive copyright issues, for people who need certain music, or for people who live in countries that YouTube doesn't support.

For the most part, people remember back when they were more beneficial and selective about who they allowed in. Not to mention, the recruitment letters are generally very good at making them sound far greater than they really are.

I would avoid Creative Nation. I partnered one of my channels with them since May and in September they told me they suspended all future payments due to copyright issue. But my channel only had a few third party matches - no copyright strike at all and the channel was at perfectly good standing. So they basically just decided to refuse paying me while they still earn from my videos. So I left.

I also have 2 other channels partnered with Vultra & Curse. No problem with either networks ever. Vultra used to be 3 year contract @ 50% pay but now it's 1 year contract and the pay is dependent on your subscribers. If you have 10k subs it raises you to 60%, 20k subs 70%, 100k subs 80%. 1m sub 90%. And their CPM is the highest of all 3 networks I tried so it's not bad imo. Curse is great too - 90% with no lock-in contract but more difficult to get in I believe.

EDIT: Just read the sticky thread regarding proof. So here it is:

1. E-mail from Creative Nation:

2. My channel page showing no copyright strike and in good standing:

3. My copyright notice page showing only 2 videos with third party matches, no copyright strike or world-wide block:

This is when they come along and say that you were boosting views and then never provide proof that you were, just another instance of CN ripping people.

Yeah it was ridiculous. I tried to resolve the problem with them through e-mail first. I showed them proof (pictures above) that I only have 2 third party matches and my channel is in good standing with no copyright strike. They told me to send in a ticket through their dashboard. So I did. Then the ticket replies telling me to send in an appeal just like the e-mail did which I found ridiculous since I already showed them proof of no copyright strike. Like what the hell am I appealing for? The channel is in good standing. That's when I gave up on them because a network is supposed to help you not sabotage your progress and make things difficult. They were clearly not on my side or trying to help at all.

The only other thing you can do now is inform others about their malicious business practices so they can stay away and be spared their earnings.

Yeah, stay away from CN, they're useless. CEO is just a kid who doesn't really understand how real life works and you won't get much from their forums since most people are there to advertise their own stuff, not to actually watch others videos. I'd recommend Curse though, I heard only good things about them, but never really been part of that network.
