Correct software to record gameplay from T.V

I know there are several different ways to do this. I'm looking for the best way I can do this. I also would like to capture the game in 1080p.

Well normally you would get a Elgato HDPVR which connects from whatever system you play on to tv to computer, it comes with software to record in HD. They run for about $100.

Get an Elgato, a HDPVR is the same but different ish, I have had some great experiences with Elgato, so i would suggest that! good luck!

The Avermedia stuff is not bad too. I own the Game Capture HD and I like it, but I suggest to get the Game Capture HD second model, it has HDMI too.

Elgato tends to be one of the most popular, although I had a go with the Hauppauge pvr rocket which was pretty cool, allows you to record straight to a memory stick without the use of a laptop or computer. Great if you want to take it to a friends house, or don't have a lot of room.

...an Elgato is a capture card/device not a HDPVR... but could still be called one though :)

But that aside yeah just use an Elgato.. the 60fps one and use the included software or use something like obs to capture it or something else.. there are loadssss of software out there that will capture the incoming signal from the Elgato or any other capture device.
