Business Cards For Vidcon and other YT Events.

I Love YTtalk
So I recently heard about people having business cards for events like Vidcon and Playlist Live etc. So is it a good idea to bring business cards to these events to give to your favorite creators and people who are interested about your channel. So then they would most likely not forget to go see your channel, or instead of them writing it in their phone?
 
That is definitely a good idea. I went to this one convention one time, and we had to stand in this really long line. Some guy was handing out snacks to people to eat while they waited in line, but taped to the snacks were his business cards for his YouTube channel. It was the smartest thing I have ever seen, and it caused me to look up his channel.
 
Of course you have to have a business card but with your latest information as well as matching your channel art. Here is mine for example :) :

I think it looks clean and nice!
 
I would hate to be a well known youtuber, they get handed so many of these. Instead I brand random things like fireworks. What would you rather have and remember ? A bit of card or a firework ?

That guy is a genius and at the very least deserves for his channel to be looked at!

True but im pretty sure the average person doesnt know pyro technics! :D
 
I gave a few cards to people at vidcon. But I think the most effective way to get people to contact you about collabs and such is probably your personality and giving them your number. Because sometimes people just throw away your cards and such, unless they are really interested about your channel and such. But anything helps. - Ken
 
I think it depends what kind of channel you are handing out this stuff I am a gaming channel but for it doesn't make sense to have one if you are just a let's player. However for most other things it does make sense.
 
I helped my friend AznNerdNation hand out some of his cards.

It's definitely a good networking tool and a great conversation starter. If you actually make an effort to talk to people instead of just being like "Hey here's a card seeya later" it's a great way to meet people and make friends.
 
I never hand out my business card unless someone asks for it. And they're for business only, not fans. I received plenty of business cards at vidcon, but the only ones I kept were from business people or channels I wanted to collab with. I didn't keep anybcards from random channels that handed them out to everyone and going by how many I saw on the floor and in the trash, no one else kept them either.
