Autoplay Paused... WHY???

I want to strangle youtube right now. I cleared my cookies, browsing data, etc. and now I'm stuck with the updated version of youtube for some reason. Is there a way to go back? I'm asking because "autoplay paused" is making me lose my mind. Why would I want to pause AUTOplay??? Do they not understand that AUTO means AUTOMATIC??? Not "stop if you think I died"???

If I can't go back, is there a way to stop autoplay from not autoplaying?

Also I'm pretty sure scrolling past the video pauses it.

I WANNA LISTEN TO MUSIC, not NOT LISTEN TO MUSIC!.

pretty sure the atuo play occasionally pauses to stop spam bots mass watching videos or something.
