AUDACITY! This is the free program which most gigantic Youtubers use. And if you want an alternative, Audition CS2 from Adobe just went free on their website not too long ago.

the normal video editor will usually do the job. windows live moviemaker does at least, and thats a very VERY basic editor.

I think he wanted a sound recorder for a mic, not a video editor.

Audacity like others have said it is awesome! Plus it hardly ever lags up!

i know, you can select microphones in those editors.
