I've been trying to record some Bindig of Isaac.
And with it I've been using FRAPS and Audacity.
Only thing is that Audacity's audio is stuttering every 0.7 seconds.
This does not happen when I test record outside the game.
Gonna need some more details here. Does it show up in the wavefile or is it just stuttering when you listen through the application? What do you mean by stuttering? How are you recording (usb mic? In-line? Audio interface?)?
There is a consistent statical gap in the recording... Im not sure exactly, but it is every .5 or .7 seconds.
I am using a USB microphone, a blue yeti.
Does not happen in Minecraft (tested just now (thested there since it is a java, which dxtory does not support all that well.)
does not happen if all I do is record audio in audacity straight from the desktop
I dont understand how it could be a CPU issue.
I am currently using a Intel® Core i7-3930K Processor
Socket-LGA2011, 6-Core, 3.2GHz, 12MB, 130W, Boxed, (clocked to 4ghz)
Just spitballing here, trying to eliminate factors. It's possible FRAPS and Audacity don't want to play nicely with one another, but that isn't anything I've heard of yet.
It never happened to me, but I have seen when I play some Audio while recording, Audacity doesnt record when something is playing on computer, this leaves a gap between waveforms, and if I close everything and record, then I get clear voice! I think Audacity is not reliable especially for gamers, I would recommend to use some screen recorder which can catch voice and video as well
